BRIGHTON CENTRE TO HOST SOUTHERN COUNTIES FIRST PREMIUM BABY EXPO

SMB Events is delighted to launch Brighton Baby Expo - the pregnancy, birth, baby and early years event for Sussex and the Southern Counties. Free for visitors to attend, Brighton Baby Expo takes place at the Brighton Centre on 8 June 2008 and will be an essential forum for parents and parents-to-be.
With over 25 years of international exhibition experience, the SMB Events team is committed to delivering an event of national quality. Director, Suzanne Borrell explains, ‘with so many families setting up home in the Southern Counties and the buoyant market for ‘baby’ related product and services here, there is a clearly a demand for a professionally produced, major exhibition for the region. Our vision is to create a vibrant exchange of information, products and services to benefit to visitors, exhibitors, sponsors and supporters alike.’

As part of their ongoing expansion, they have just opened their 17th store on Gardner Street in the North Laine area of Brighton. Emma Brannan, Marketing Director explains, ‘we are delighted to support Brighton Baby Expo. Little Dish makes 100% natural, fresh food for children aged 12 months and above. With no added salt or sugar, all recipes are created with the help of a paediatric dietician. Cluny Brown, Marketing Manager, explains ‘We are thrilled to be bringing Little Dish to Brighton Baby Expo in June – we look forward to treating visiting babies, toddlers, mums and dads to some tasty samples at our ‘Little Dish Café’ on-site and to talk to parents about why Little Dish is so special.’
Gymboree is the world leader in developmental, expert-designed programmes offering age-specific classes catering from newborn babies to children of 5+ years with highly trained, dedicated staff. Guy Lewis, Branch Owner and Manager, explains, ‘Gymboree encourages children’s development through a variety of fun and inspired classes. We look forward to bringing the world of Gymboree to Brighton Baby Expo in June and hosting some really fun sessions for visiting babies and children throughout the day!’
Media Partner and Official Publication is ABC Magazine, the free local information magazine for parents in Sussex, from babies to big kids – with editions published in Surrey, Hampshire, Kent and beyond. ABC will be providing visitors with information on their range of publications and raising funds for local charities. Media partner, The Argus is the leading newspaper in the region and part of the Newsquest group, who publish 18 daily titles and almost 300 weekly newspapers around the UK. They will be present in June to showcase their portfolio, distribute copies of The Argus and promote the work of The Argus Appeal.
Brighton & Hove City Council Library Services will also be attendance, providing full information on library services, hosting some fantastic kids’ entertainment sessions and offering the opportunity for attendees big and small, to join the library at the Show.
To secure free entry to Brighton Baby Expo, visitors simply have to register online at www.brightonbabyexpo.co.uk. Visitors who have not pre-registered will be asked to make a charitable donation either to Rockinghorse or The Argus Appeal when they arrive on the day. Every attendee will get a free show guide, with the first 500 receiving a free exhibitor goody-bag.
Visitors to Brighton Baby Expo will have access to a huge variety of goods and services from national and regionally based companies plus a wealth of advice and information on pregnancy, birth, babies and early childhood. Facilities provided will include a bottle warming service, plentiful baby changing areas, a buggy cloakroom and breastfeeding room, plus a range of catering for adults, children and free baby food.
