The Business Mums Conference - The Mumpreneur Event for the South

The Business Mums Conference is an exciting new event which will be part of the high successful ‘Business Mum Week’ (as founded in 2009 by Jane Hopkins of MumsClub). The conference will target all those ‘mumpreneurs’ and burgeoning ‘mumpreneurs’ based in the South, offering a highly effective, inspiring and enjoyable day where business mums can gain expert advice, make essential contacts, research new business opportunities, raise their company profile and celebrate all that they have achieved.

 

This niche audience will be made up of up to 200 highly focused, enthusiastic business women, keen to acquire the knowledge, products and services to enable them to further develop their businesses, be they a start-up or already running their own companies. This event will be promoted via highly comprehensive PR campaign with monthly press releases, a social media campaign promoting the event virally through the strong online businessmum community, via the website and via our promotional newsletters and event blog.

 

The conference organising committee is made up of Antonia Chitty, Nicky Chisholm and Suzanne Borrell. Antonia is an award-winning entrepreneur, Inspirational Business Mum of the Year 2009, published author and highly skilled PR professional. Nicky is a very experienced business start-up advisor who runs ‘Mums in Biz’ - tailored seminars and training for mumpreneurs and the ‘The Mumpreneurs Networking Club’ - highly successful networking events throughout the Region. Suzanne has been in the event industry for over 15 years, organising exhibitions and conferences and working with clients such as JoJo Maman Bébé, BP, ExxonMobil, the National Childbirth Trust, Sainsbury’s, Shell and The UK Government Department of Trade amongst others.

The speaker line up will include senior Government representatives, inspirational, high-profile business mums and experienced speakers and seminar hosts offering key advice on the fundamentals of running and developing a business. A key part of the day will also be the networking opportunities, with regular breaks, a buffet-style 3 course lunch and close of play champagne reception which will all take place within the exhibition area.
