Meet the team from the Crowborough Birthing Centre in Upper hall 3! Open 24 hours a day, this small, dedicated unit is run by a team of highly experienced midwives offering complete ante-natal care in a 'home from home' environment. The use of birthing pools and alternative therapies such as acupuncture and aromatherapy in labour are fully supported and the centre welcomes first time mums as well as those who are looking for a different approach from that which they may have previously experienced - for more information on the centre and the range of birthing options visit stand 133!
We are so delighted to be screening extracts from the film Doula! The Ultimate Birth ;Companion which will be released in June. “Doula!” is a 65 minute documentary showing doulas helping parents before, during and after they have their babies. Powerful, engaging and emotional, this film will have you laughing and crying tears of joy as you watch doulas in action at the sharp end of life’s greatest adventure! If you are pregnant then don't miss the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals Trust stand which will be welcoming midwives from the Royal Sussex County in Brighton and the Princess Royal, Haywards Heath and throughout the surrounding communities.
